Nicole Ari Parker is an American stage and television actor who was famous for her portrayal as the fierce attorney Teri Joseph on the Showtime show Soul Food. The actress is known under her husband's name, Nikki Kodjoe. As a child living in Baltimore, Maryland, she was always intrigued by acting. At an Maryland high school contest at the beginning of her training, she was awarded the title for best actress. She was a part of the audition for the role at Stratford Shakespeare Festival (Ontario Canada) and received. After 92 performances, she received glowing reviews. The production was recognized as one of the most successful productions in Canada by critics. She was given the chance to be a part of the Stratford Conservatory. It is a private institution that accepts just eight men and four women to take a course in classical theatre. Contractor was eager to accept.
